Goiânia - Exploring the wonderful capital of Goiás, Brazil! (Part 1)

Goiânia is a beautiful city in the centre west region of Brazil. Located in the centre of a massive agricultural region, Goiânia is a huge city, with beautiful parks, shopping centres and very good infrastructure. I was staying in the city visiting my friends who are from there. On this occasion we visited the Vaca Brava Park; the city is well known for its green spaces and this is one of the most popular ones in the city. We also had a look around the city centre and saw some examples of Art Deco architecture which it is famous for, including the Torre do Relógio (Clock Tower) known as Goiânia's Big Ben! Finally we ended up in the central market, which is a place that I always enjoy going to as you can get a good idea of what the local people get up to, at least in terms of their retail habits! It was a joy getting to know Goiânia in a bit more detail; whilst this was the second time I had visited the city, the first time was over 5 years ago and the place was pretty much closed as it was a bank holiday! So this time, I had a better chance to actually discover the place! And I liked it!
