Australian Hero Games WOD - "Akker"
10 Rounds for Time: In 50:00, I had finished 7 + 23. I did finish the workout in 69:13 22 Push-Ups 22 meter Walking Lunges (I did a 36 foot down and back for lunges and bear crawls...) 22 Air Squats 22 meter Bear Crawl 200 meter Run Time Cap: 50 minutes Perform 10 rounds of the work described in the order written, as fast as possible. Score is the time on the clock when the last 200 meter Run is completed, or the total number of repetitions completed (1 rep per each 10 meters on the run) if the workout is not finished by 50:00. ********************************************* This was a great workout. This month I am doing a mile of walking lunges so I thought this would be a perfect workout to help me reach that goal. I was glad most of the work was done inside so I could be near the fan most of the time. It was 90 degrees outside but there was a nice breeze for the 200 meter runs so it wasn't bad. I also used my ice bandana today and that was a HUGE help! I also would rest less than 2:00 between rounds - so whatever time I came in I would just decide to go at the top of the minute after at least a full minute rest. That way it was easy to calculate my round times also. It worked great! I got 7 full rounds plus the push-ups and lunges at the 50:00 mark but did finish the workout also. Round Times: 1. 5:15 2. 5:40 3. 6:50 (I got my ice bandana after this round!) 4. 5:17 5. 5:05 6. 5:18 7. 5:32 8. 5:32 9. 6:11 10. 6:13 Grateful to honor Richard today. *** Video is first round - 4th round and last round... ********************************************* Background: This “Akker” Hero WOD (a.k.a. “Akka”) is dedicated to CPL Richard Atkinson who paid the ultimate price for his country on February 2, 2011.
