I stitched my home - Slow stitch February 2025

In February 2025 I decided to join in with a year-long sewing project to make a "coverlet of comfort" with different monthly themes based around "self". The idea being to start with yourself and then each month gradually move out into the wider world and think about how you fit into that. As I was only one month "late" joining this project, I decided to catch up with the January section by doing bits and pieces of it in between the next few monthly sections. However, there is no need to "catch up", so if you wanted to join in, you could start at any time of the year. The project is being led by a lovely lady called Kathryn on her YouTube channel:    / @k3n.clothtales   Each month she sets the theme and suggests a particular sewing method to express that theme, but she is always encouraging people to follow their own interpretations. In this series of videos I will be showing my interpretations of the monthly prompts along with stories about why each section is meaningful to me and my life. By the end of the year, my hope is that the 12 monthly sections will be like 12 chapters in a hand stitched "autobiography", full of memories of special times and special people in my life.
