Byron Whitman - Five Gems

Subscribers to my YouTube channel have inquired about Byron and how he is doing. They have asked if I could do a video of some of his great songs. Byron is living in Jacksonville, Florida and enjoying his retirement. I was pleased to discover him to be a cat guy like yours truly. Byron has performed concerts in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Tasmania. His career highlights include co-heading the Wembley Country Music festival in London; performing at Fan Fair as an International artist; hosting the CMA International Country Music Show at the World's Fair; performing on the Grand Ole Opry; producing the last CD of Slim Whitman's career; appearing at the London Palladium twice; and appearing on numerous TV shows such as “Nashville Now” and “Crook and Chase.” I hope you’ll enjoy the tracks I have selected here for your enjoyment. “Part of Me” is the one that puts a lump in my throat every time I hear it. Byron does all the backup vocals, and he also plays the organ on “Part of Me.” He is an amazingly talented musician, composer, song writer and last, but not least, singer.
