Star Wars - A New Hope (Timpani Best Moments) - Gabriel Rodriguez

Hi there! I'm so excited for this one. Definitely one of the most fun parts to play on this beautiful instruments, and even more if you get to play the entire music with the film projection. It was quite a challenge, but also super rewarding. At the same time it's kind of nostalgic, because this was recorded in February, shortly before COVID-19 and all the pandemic quarantine. I'm so looking forward to getting back to play with my wonderful orchestra colleges of the Orquesta Estable del Teatro Colon, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Just for you to know, this was the dress rehearsal at our lovely Teatro Colon, and the audio was mixed between the camera microphone and another mic I set up somewhere in the hall. I hope it sounds good enough for you to appreciate the amazing work by John Williams, and these challenging timpani parts. I might upload a couple more clips from this recording in the near future, so stay tuned for more to come!!
