My LADA and Type 1 diabetes diagnosis story + Type 2 Diabetes Misdiagnosis

A couple of months ago I learned I was living with a diabetes misdiagnosis. I was originally diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and then I found out that I had another type. I know that the blame, shame and stigma around having diabetes doesn't just disappear even though my type changes. I do have to say it feels pretty good to know that I DID try my hardest to manage, despite all of the ways people told me I didn't. I'm not lazy. I'm not ambivalent about my health. I AM trying my hardest to take care of myself. My body was just rebelling. Learn what tests to ask for that can confirm your diagnosis.
