Armenia is one of the worlds oldest countries, although its size and shape has fluctuated over the years, its influence is felt around the world. It was the first country to adopt Christianity and its mountainous landscape is dotted with ancient churches and monasteries. Its small size and stunning countryside lends itself to the perfect road trip country. I rented a car for a few days to draw a big circle through the center of the country, trying to see some of the main historic sites that have shaped this legendary region.
