Throwing a Dart at Japan and Going Wherever It Lands

We threw a dart at a map of Japan and had to go wherever it landed. Unfortunately, it landed in Saitama. At first, we thought we got the worst possible location. Most people only know Saitama as Tokyo's less exciting neighbor, and honestly, we weren't expecting much. But after doing some research, we discovered Nagatoro, a small town hidden in the mountains with rafting, amazing food, beautiful nature, relaxing hot springs, and some of the best views we've seen in Japan. What started as a joke turned into one of our favorite trips ever. Sometimes the best adventures are the ones you never planned.
