With a scheduled flight time of 2h 25min, I believe Widerøe's seasonal route from Oslo to Svolvær could be one of the world's longest non-stop Dash 8-100 flights. Join me on this very flight as we embark on our first trip to the Lofoten Islands. Overall, this flight is a very convenient way of getting from Norway's capital to the Lofoten Islands, without having to transfer in Bodø or Tromsø. As an avgeek, I also didn't mind doing a flight of this length on a Dash 8-100 - in fact, I'm pretty sure this is the longest turboprop flight I've ever taken! Aside from that, the flight was very punctual, legroom was good (as was the case with other Widerøe Dash 8s we've flown on) and the complimentary "goodie bag" was a nice surprise - It would've been nice if something like that were the standard offering on Widerøe flights, as opposed to having a BoB service. With that said, I must say the sole flight attendant seemed rather lazy and unmotivated, not to mention that I found Widerøe's ground staff at Oslo airport quite rude and unhelpful. Without further ado; sit back, relax, and enjoy the video!
