How to Identify Chickweed vs Poison Lookalike
Chickweed (Stellaria media) is a sought-after cool-season green that can be added to salads, nibbled raw, dried for tea & used for medicine. Scarlett Pimpernel (Angallis arvensis) can be confused with chickweed to the untrained eye. While it is unlikely a human would eat enough Scarlett Pimpernel to actually poison themselves, it will leave a bad taste in the mouth. We want to make sure you're enjoying the spring flavors of chickweed and that takes learning its characteristics and how to gather properly. Enjoy!
