Eric Johnson Jazz III White vs Red: Tone & Durability Comparison
In this video I compare the new Eric Johnson Jazz III white guitar picks to the classic red version from Dunlop. As an Eric Johnson Jazz III fan, I’ve used the red picks for years, so when Dunlop released a new custom nylon blend that replaces the older 47PEJ3N/47REJ3N model, I had to test them. The new custom nylon blend is designed to add rich tonal complexity and a slightly more flexible, but I found that it sounds darker and potentially wears out faster than the red version. Both picks have the same Jazz III shape and grip, but the red still feels sturdier and brighter. I like both, but I’ll keep using the red until I run out.
