A fishmeal and oil production facility with a capacity of 25 tons per day has been commissioned. Construction of a new canning plant has begun. 4. For the first time in the history of Shikotan, salmon from the Sakhalin coast is being supplied for processing. 5. A private construction company, Kuril Islands LLC, has been established. Several dozen different types of specialized construction equipment have been purchased and delivered to the island. About a hundred construction specialists with various qualifications have been hired. 6. The operation of a social store has been streamlined – all socially significant goods are always available on the shelves at significantly reduced prices. All products manufactured by the Ostrovnoy Fish Processing Plant are included in the assortment. Additionally, a portion of the catch from each fishing vessel returning from a fishing trip is placed on the store shelves, chilled. 7. Agreements have already been reached to modernize the island's power supply. DV Rybak Management Company has committed to launching a new, high-capacity pelagic fish processing plant in 2021, which will increase the complex's total capacity to 17 MW. 8.
