Collecting a HUGE Yew Yamadori | Step-by-step from the wild to the pot

Hey! This is Tenzo Bonsai, in this video you’ll see the journey of collecting a massive wild Yew literati (Taxus) and bringing it home. In this yamadori episode, I take you step-by-step through the entire process of collecting this beautiful wild yew. In particular: • Initial Pruning to reduce foliage and stabilize the tree for collection. • Burning the Deadwood to harden it and ensure its longevity. • Trunk and deadwood cleaning. • Root Ball excavation (removal of the tree from the soil). • Repotting into a custom-made wooden pot that I previously made using the traditional Japanese Yakisugi technique. • Finally, the application of Jin Liquid to ensure the preservation of the deadwood. What part of the yamadori process do you find the most interesting? Let me know in the comments below! 👇 !!! Collecting trees from nature without the legal permission from the landowner or the authorities it’s illegal !!!
