DiResta Leather Wood & Steel Stool

If you follow me you know I make stools often, and I am in search of the perfect stool design!!! These wood stools with a steel foot rest and a leather top, was an exercise in using the new 12’ long papermakers lathe I recently purchased. I decided to make the foot rest in steel because it seems like first to break in any other stool design. I had to weld in place because it would have been impossible to assemble as one part. I had to use the machine shop to fabricate a steel die to match the tapper on the leg where the foot rest collar will live. And thank you to Weaver for sponsoring this video.
