Beautiful Endings in English Literature That Feel Balmy
There is no denying that beautiful closing lines render the experience of reading a novel memorable. However, I think there are multiple other reasons for which closing lines of a novel are important. In many of the late eighteenth- and early nineteenth-century English novels (like those written by the likes of Crusoe and Fielding, as well as Dickensian bildungsroman that usually end on a happy note), closing lines assure that the protagonists, after all their trials and tribulations, have reached a stage where life seems to be happy and secure. Thus, closing lines reinforce and foreground the idea of life being happy if it is led purposefully and optimistically. The idea of a joyful, happy life could best be conveyed through beautifully worded lines, says Mr. Deepak K Choudhary (Senior Editor) Viva Books #closing #victorianliterature #endingsexplained #endingscene #beautifulquotes #beautifulquotesonlife If you enjoy *philosophy, classic literature, deep reading, psychology, and intellectual history*, this list is curated for you. 💬 Let me know in the comments: Which books impacted you the most?
