Lake Parinacochas, also known as Parihuanacochas, is a Peruvian Andean lake located in the department of Ayacucho. It measures 12.8 kilometers long by 10.1 kilometers wide, with a surface area of ββ75.5 square kilometers, making it one of the largest lakes in the country. It lies at the foot of the Sara Sara volcano. It is estimated that Lake Parinacochas regularly hosts more than 20,000 waterfowl.
