Noblistka sięga po AI. Skandal czy przyszłość literatury? | AI WEEKLY #40

Hi! This is Krzysztof Wojewodzic from Escola AI 👋 The new episode of AI Weekly #40 is now live. This time, 7 news stories that I had a particularly difficult time choosing. From the finances of the largest AI labs, through the literature of Nobel Prize winners, to a sobering report on how Polish companies are actually doing with AI implementation. In this episode: 7️⃣ Anthropic is in the black for the first time. OpenAI is losing a billion a month. Most AI labs are subsidizing their business. Anthropic has just reported a profit. The reason is simple: Claude's users are professionals and businesses, not casual consumers. In Q1, the company reported $5 billion in revenue, and in Q2, it's expected to exceed $10 billion. The IPO is expected later this year. 6️⃣ Google I/O: The Biggest Search Engine Change in 25 Years and the Spark Agent Google is redesigning its search engine to focus on natural conversation instead of typing in search terms. It also includes the Spark agent, which proactively monitors your calendar, emails, and tickets and suggests what you should do. Instead of waiting for a question, it works proactively. 5️⃣ Malta is giving all citizens access to ChatGPT Pro. For free. The first country in the world to treat access to language models as infrastructure. To get it, you first need to complete a course. It sounds good, but there are a few things worth considering before getting carried away with this model. 4️⃣ Olga Tokarczuk is writing a book with AI. And very well. The media was outraged. Krzysztof believes it's as natural as using a computer. If the Nobel Prize winner writes an even better book thanks to AI, it's a success, not a scandal. The question isn't whether to use the tools. The question is what we use them for. 3️⃣ Three major IPOs this year: SpaceX, OpenAI, and Anthropic Each with valuations exceeding a trillion dollars. Nothing like this has ever happened before in the history of capital markets. For comparison, Orlen's valuation after significant gains is $45 billion. 2️⃣ Claude Small Business: AI for small and medium-sized businesses Anthropic has released a toolkit that integrates company financial data, makes predictions, and suggests solutions to problems. Running a business will become increasingly easier. And AI will learn more and more from your data. 1️⃣ EY Report: Nearly Half of Polish Companies Disappointed with AI Implementation 49% of companies say the promises outweighed the results. 17% regret their decisions. Only 40% achieved their goals. And yet, 77% plan to increase their budgets. Krzysztof explains why this doesn't surprise him and the most common mistakes companies make. If you want to know why most companies implement AI poorly and how to do it differently, this episode gives a very specific answer. 🎥 Watch on YouTube 🎧 Listen on Spotify ✍️ Read on Substack Let us know which topic from this episode resonates with you most. #AI #SztucznaInteligencja #AIWeekly #EscolaAI #Biznes #technologia 0:00 Intro 1:00 Anthropic generates profit 6:20 Google I/O and Gemini Spark 13:30 Malta with ChatGPT for everyone 18:25 Olga Tokarczuk uses AI for writing 24:14 Interesting IPOs this year 27:55 Claude's new project 29:15 EY Report on AI implementation in Poland 34:20 Summary
