Math Mammoth Vs Singapore Math Primary 2022: Why We're Switching For 5th Grade

See why we're switching from SIngapore Math Primary 2022 to Math Mammoth for 5th grade. We have used Singapore Math Primary 2022 with my son since the middle of his 1st grade year. It went pretty well (just needing to pause to work on math facts here and there) until his 4th grade year when I began to consider switching math programs. Singapore Math became too much for me as a teacher. With 3 younger kids to teach/take care of and not being super math inclined, my son began to really struggle with harder concepts. He wanted to be independent, (and Singapore is not designed to be). I explain in the video why we're switching, and some similarities and differences between Singapore Math Primary 2022 and Math Mammoth that I've noticed so far. We began with the 4th grade Math Mammoth book A, and are almost through it. Math is mostly independent for my son now, and I am able to follow along and help him when necessary with how clear the instructions are in Math Mammoth!
