How to do Bird of Paradise Pose in Yoga
Here's a quick little tutorial on how to cone i to Bird of Paradise, aka Svarga Dvijasana. This is difficult posture as it requires great flexibility & strength. The hips must be quite open, as are the shoulders. But what requires the most is hamstring flexibility! There is no warm up with this video so please, please, please warm up first. This pose is great to do toward the end of your practice. I would probably add in some forward folds, butterfly pose & splits before attempting Bird of Paradise. Definitely take your time with this posture. Know that it may take some time before you feel stable in it. But keep practicing....and all is coming! Practice with me on Instagram: @kelsyogi
