An U.S. Rancher Put Nine Beavers Back Into a Dead Creek, He Got 42 Extra Days of Water In 2015, an Idaho cattle rancher released just nine beavers into a dying creek after decades of drought, disappearing trout, and failed restoration attempts. Almost nobody believed a handful of beavers could succeed where expensive engineering projects had failed.
