How to replace a fuel filter on a Cummins 6BT 5.9 Marine engine

Because the port engine died on our 2 day of travel while we arrived in the harbour of Mrzeżyno, which is by the way a very nice little harbour with a qute town around it., i try in this video to replace the fuel filter on this engine. The filter was full of rust on the top and already half empty of fuel. It was a good idea to change it, but even after changing I still was not able to get fuel with the lift pump to come out of the filter housing, so it was obvious, that the filter was not the only problem we had. The lift pump on the engine was also broken. As I later found out, the seal in the pump got old and wasnt able to enough vacuum to suck the fuel from the tank. In the process of fixing the engine, we even had help from a friendly shipyard staff on the other side of the harbor. They tried to fix it for 2 hours and because they couldn't get the engine running, they didn't even charged us a cent for their help. Polish people are mostly amazing friendly. So whenever you need to stop in this harbor and you have some problems, give them a call.
