We ate EVERYTHING @ HOOKED Seafood aboard Wonder of the Seas

Hi Guys, I am thrilled to share with you our lunch and dinner experience at an absolute MUST TRY specialty dining restaurant "Hooked Seafood" aboard Wonder of the Seas. The meal started with a complimentary biscuit which was fresh and at par with other biscuits I have tried in the past. Not a big fan of biscuits so I would say this one is nothing special. We tried ALL the starters: (a) Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail - the shrimps were fresh and large and the horseradish cocktail sauce was good (b) Maryland Crab Cake - this came with chunks of crab with a well balanced tartar sauce (c) Crispy Calamari - would skip this as it was just ordinary (d) Fresh-shucked Oysters - the oysters were fresh but a little fishy to my liking (e) Baked Oysters - MUST TRY! I opted for the 3 varieties available (Rockefeller/Leeks and White Wine/Brie and Champagne). All are well prepared and tasted really good, In fact, I have personally ordered 4 servings (i.e. each serving came with 2 of each) just for myself in one of the dinner visits. Yes - it is that GOOD and you need to try this yourself!!! (f) Coconut Shrimp - nicely fried shrimp with a yummy sweet chilli ginger sauce. I am not a fan of coconut shrimp but I enjoyed this very much (g) New England Clam Chowder - the chowder was perfectly made with tender clams and will not hesitate to order this again We also tried ALL the Mains: (a) Garlic Mussels - this is Must Try dish. The garlic white wine sauce was to die for! (b) Fish & Chips - fish was not as large as compared to others I have tried in the past so will skip this next time. (c) Caesar Salad - this was just so so. The one they offer at 150 Central was far superior in my opinion so will also skip this. (d) Steak and Lobster - Must Try! the 6 oz tenderloin was cooked perfectly tender and juicy at medium rare and the Maine Lobster Tail was tender, fresh and sweet. This is always one of my mains in every meal we were here (e) Twin Lobster Tail - Must Try! I loved this dish that I personally ordered it twice in every dinner visit (f) Captains Platter - came with fish, grilled shrimps and lobster. The fish and shrimps were perfectly grilled and of course the Lobster was superb. You can't go wrong with this one. (g) Maine Lobster Roll - this was only available during lunch time on sea days and a Must Try if you like lobsters on rolls! And also tried the following Sides: (a) Steak Fries - nothing special and was just ok (b) Corn on the Cob - Must Try! the corn was grilled to my liking and was tender so we enjoyed this as well (c) Lobster Mac & Cheese - will skip this next time as it was just so so in my opinion (d) Seasonal Vegetables - they were fresh and a nice break from the seafood. Greens are always a good compliment to these dishes. We also tried everything on the Desert Menu and my absolute favourite was the Decadent Chocolate Brownie which was well complemented by the vanilla ice cream. I like the ambiance at this specialty resto and the theming was also on point. The servers were all accommodating and would go out of their way to make sure everyone is satisfied and well fed! They also did not hesitate to bring in as many servings of whatever dish I enjoyed the most (i.e. baked oysters and lobsters!). The manager was also very friendly and made sure that we were taken cared very well. We loved this specialty resto that we decided to have dinner here 3 times and once during lunch for the duration of the 7 night cruise! Hooked is open every night for dinner and lunch on sea days only. I notice that they are always full during lunch time as the charges are more reasonable while having an almost identical menu to their dinner service. I would highly recommend for those seafood lovers (like me) to experience the endless lobsters :-) Btw, we were not charged anything extra on top of the normal dinner or lunch charges so had to leave a generous tip for the staff.
