Practical Engineering at The Open University
This video gives an idea of the different forms of practical work that are encountered when studying for an Open University engineering qualification. These include hands-on investigations using home experiment kits, modelling work using industry standard simulation software, and remote experimentation using a home computer to control high-end equipment housed in The Open University’s award-winning OpenSTEM laboratories. Those who carry on to Masters level study also carry out groupwork in a face-to-face residential setting.
