Japan continues to surprise me. In this video I travel to Asahikawa. The coldest city in Japan, where temperatures once dropped to an unbelievable −41°C. But the real reason I came here was to witness something I had only seen on Instagram. Every winter between January and March, the famous Penguin Walk at Asahiyama Zoo takes place. During this event, king penguins walk through the snow right beside visitors while hundreds of people gather to watch this incredible moment. After watching a viral reel about this unique experience, I made it my mission to travel from Sapporo to Asahikawa in Hokkaido to see this magical penguin walk in real life. But the adventure didn’t stop there. After witnessing the famous penguin parade at Asahiyama Zoo, I continued my journey to Mount Asahidake, the highest peak in Hokkaido. This mountain is known for its breathtaking winter landscapes and deep powder snow, making it one of the most beautiful winter destinations in Japan.
