Did Fractal miss with the VP4?

I'm always excited to hear about new Fractal products when they are announced (which isn't very often), but when I learned Fractal was doing an effects-only unit I was a bit... underwhelmed. Don't get me wrong, Fractal's effects are world-class, but this unit doesn't include the main features that appealed to me about Fractal from the beginning- the amp modeling and the all-in-one gig solution. So, here's why I will likely not be buying a VP4...
