Waking up my Austin 1100 from hibernation
This movie shows how I prepared my 1970 Austin 1100 for its first ride in 2012. I removed the spark plugs first and let the engine crank, so ensuring the cold (but new!) oil builds up sufficient pressure for a short time. This way, the engine is being lubricated sufficiently the moment it fires up. After these preparations, I took the car for a ride up to Mount Nordhelle, some 10 miles from home.
