Episode 1228 Alan (Alan Browning) meets Jimmy Frazer (John Barrie), who sounds him out about going into the used-car business with him. Franny (Michael Angelis) tells Sharon (Susan Littler) that Jacko (Robert Keegan) has been complaining about having no money, which would make him a prime suspect in the burglary. Sharon isn’t sure about framing Jacko and wants Ray (Neville Buswell) to shoulder the blame. Billy (Kenneth Farrington) offers Jacko his old job back at the Rovers, which he reluctantly accepts. Concepta (Doreen Keogh) arrives just as Billy and Lucille (Jennifer Moss) are in the middle of an argument. After catching up with her old friends, she surprises everyone by announcing she’s engaged to a younger man called Sean Regan (Tony Doyle).
