A long-time Palisades user, HINATCH from Nothing’s Carved In Stone and STRAIGHTENER, finally appears in an EQD pedal demo! It’s so impressive the way he comes up with different settings with the Zoar. His fingers respond to the pedal’s dynamics effortlessly. This skill is no surprise after seeing how huge his pedalboard is! What you will notice in his demo is that the Zoar is flexible enough to handle fast passages that pull through the mix just as well as classic boomy bass tones. The 3-band EQ and Weight controls work very differently from those typical high gain distortion and fuzz pedals. You will see that the EQ section and weight control have a lot of flexibility. The 3-band EQ on Zoar does not work like a normal EQ, so let’s start with everything at noon. Each EQ band influences other bands so listen closely when you move the knobs and see how a knob you're playing with is affecting the other EQ points. The Weight affects the overall vibe of the sound but you also start to get more bass to your sound as you turn it up. So make sure to move only one knob when you are tweaking the tone.
