The Virtue of Temperance
The Virtue of Temperance has to do with regulating the passions by right reason. Within this virtue exists the virtues of Chastity, Humility, and Meekness. The excess of this virtue (the vice) is either being completely controlled by the passions (intemperance) or else completely shunning the beauty of the Created order (Prudishness)
