Why are the T6 transporters so bad? Engine failure

Why are the T6 transporters so bad? Engine failure (Part 2) In this episode, we’re back on the T6 Transporter that’s been running rough on three cylinders. After stripping the front end and ruling out swirl flaps and a blocked DPF in Part 1, it’s time to dig deeper with some proper diagnostics. We perform a crude (but effective) compression check, test the injectors by unplugging them one by one, and track down the culprit: a failing #2 injector. Watch as I swap it out with a used one, discuss VW injector coding quirks, warn about those fragile stretch bolts (never reuse them!), and get the van sounding much healthier. T6s have a reputation for reliability headaches — is this one fixed for good, or are there more gremlins waiting? Drop your thoughts, experiences with T6 engines, DPF issues, or injector swaps in the comments! If you’re into VW Transporters, van repairs, or diesel diagnostics, hit LIKE and SUBSCRIBE for more.
