The Expendables follows a hardened team of elite mercenaries led by Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone). As Garza finally has a change of heart and attempts to make peace, Monroe shoots him dead and holds Sandra hostage.Barney and his heavily armed crew cut through the remaining enemy ranks. The team neutralizes Monroe’s elite bodyguards, blowing up the island and shooting down Monroe's escape helicopter. Barney and Lee give chase, finally killing Monroe and rescuing Sandra.
