Harvest 2025 Day 19

A look at the Horizon drill (planter) putting cover crop seeds in after barley and after some drainage by Farm Services Ltd. We’re rolling after primary cultivation, to level the drainage channels, then drilling and then rolling up afterwards to keep what little moisture there is in the seeding zone. Usually the drill would be right up behind the combine operating a ‘5 minute fallow’ but this year the dry conditions have meant we’ve had to pick and choose when, where and if we plant. ‪@JohnDeere‬ #8370R #6430 #rolling #HorizonDSX #covercrop
