If the Mazda3 SkyActivX test made one thing clear, it's how automotive tastes have changed. We've moved toward a much more refined and sedate driving style over the last decade, and Mazda has played a key role in adapting to this in Europe with a car with a unique handling, finesse, and isolation, which rocks you to your destination without sacrificing a chassis with the best cornering manners. But it's missing the "spark." Today we look back at the Mazda3 MPS, a compact with one of the characterful gasoline engines that has remained etched in my memory, paired with a limited-slip differential. A genuine Used, Yes, But Interesting (USPI), with a still attractive price and which, as in its day, continues to go somewhat unnoticed in the community of steering wheel and wheel enthusiasts.
