The Swedish SKF Group inaugurated a new industrial unit today at the Tangier Med industrial platform, specializing in the production of magnetic bearings and high-speed electric motors. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. Youssef Fadil, Director General of Industry at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, along with representatives from the Tangier Med Group, the SKF Group, and several key players in the national industrial sector. With an initial investment exceeding 50 million dirhams, this unit will contribute to the creation of more than 100 direct jobs. It will also provide scalable, standardized solutions that can be easily integrated into a wide range of industrial applications, including turbine motors, compressors, heating and air conditioning systems, as well as the semiconductor industry. This project is perfectly aligned with the Kingdom's industrial vision, which has established Morocco as a preferred destination for high value-added investments. The choice of a prestigious global group like SKF to establish an advanced production unit in Tangier Med also reflects the growing confidence in the national business climate and confirms the continued dynamism of the industrial platform in attracting precise technological projects that contribute to innovation and create qualified jobs within promising strategic sectors.
