Thames Path 100 | My First 100-Miler
Centurion Thames Path 100 has been on my bucket list since I even remember. This year, I stood on the start line knowing one thing: I wasn’t convinced I’d finish, but I'd give it my absolute everything. Going into my first ever 100-miler, I was carrying a niggle and more doubt than confidence. My recent races hadn’t gone to plan, and part of me thought another DNF was coming. But ultrarunning rarely goes exactly how you expect. This video follows my experience at the Thames Path 100 and shows: What the Thames Path 100 course is like My pacing, fuelling and race strategy The high and the lows and the moments in between What happened over 100 miles… If you’re considering the Thames Path 100, any other 100 miler, or simply training for your first ultra, hopefully this gives you a realistic look at the experience. Have you ever run a 100-miler, or started a race unsure whether you’d finish? And if you’ve done the Thames Path 100, I’d love to know: What was your toughest section of the course? Loved meeting you all on the course! Finally, a massive thanks to all volunteers, marshals, Centurion staff, spectators and my own crew & pacer! You are amazing!
