Something a little different today, this is a first-look UNBOXING of the TTfone TT990, a proper flip phone that's actually running a de-Googled version of Android 14 underneath. So no daily-driver verdict just yet instead I'm cracking open the box with you, powering it on for the very first time, poking around the setup, and having a little play to see what it's all about. Of course I get out and about into the park to test it, as is tradition! Unlike a lot of the phones I get my hands on, this one's made right here in the UK, so no epic journey required this time, it turned up nice and easy. We'll go through everything that's in the box, that all-important first turn-on and setup, a quick fiddle to get a feel for it, and my very first thoughts on whether this flip could be something special…or one for the niche curiosity pile.
