Otherworld - Bill Muir/Nobuo Uematsu Co Op FC (Custom) Rock Band 3 HD Gameplay Xbox 360
PSN ID: djx1100 Gamertag: Djx1100 My Thoughts On The Song/Chart: The intense heavy metal OP to "Final Fantasy X" which is a PlayStation 2 Classic and one of the more popular Final Fantasy Numbered Titles. Bass was chosen instead of Guitar due to the difficulty of Guitar. Maybe one day, i'll be able to hit the solo consistently but for now, this will do. Song Facts: "Otherworld" is a song from Final Fantasy X. It was composed and arranged by Nobuo Uematsu, with lyrics written by Alexander O. Smith and performed by Bill Muir. It plays during the opening FMV and a looped version plays during the battle against Braska's Final Aeon. Bill Muir, also known as Bill Xtillidiex Muir, is an English language vocalist, notable in the Final Fantasy community for performing the vocals of Final Fantasy X's opening theme song "Otherworld". Bill Muir was the frontman of xtillidiex ("Till I Die"), a straight edge hardcore punk band that toured Japan from 1998 to 2002 in an attempt at popularizing the straight edge subculture. The last demo the band recorded, after much in-fighting and a later break-up, reached Square Enix by chance and Muir was hired to perform the heavy metal opening theme song of Final Fantasy X. "Otherworld" plays during the blitzball game FMV in Dream Zanarkand when Sin destroys the stadium, and during the battle against Braska's Final Aeon. The PlayStation 2 release has a different version for the battle against Braska's Final Aeon; among the changes are softer vocals, more reverb, a new percussion section, and the bassline. The entire "Go now" verse is omitted, and the song loops before the "Hope dies" verse. The FMV version replaces the battle version in Final Fantasy X HD Remaster, and is the only one available for the PlayStation 4 version, regardless of switching soundtracks. A common misconception is that the German band Rammstein is the performer of this song.
