THE ART OF KONNAKOL
'The Art of Konnakol' is the first of three documentaries that give an insight into the music of the Lisa Young Quartet, featuring Lisa Young voice/konnakol, Stephen Magnusson guitar, Ben Robertson double bass and Dave Beck drums/cajon. These documentaries are about the process of making of the quartet's 2012 release The Eternal Pulse, which uses elements of jazz and South Indian music. The documentaries feature interviews with band members, rehearsal and performance footage and were made by Tauronox Post, with Director/Editor Tabata Picinnelli and produced by Kellie Jayne Chambers. The following two documentaries in this series are titled 'Lisa Young Quartet', 'The Eternal Pulse'. As a long play version they are shown with the title 'Check Your Pulse with Lisa Young Quartet'.
