Thomas The Tank, Dyson Vacuum GOLD Trash & Treasure Hunting Aussie50 Style

   / aussie50   You rarely ever see a Dyson vacuum cleaner out on the rubbish piles in Australia. So I did a search of the wealthy area in my town for an illusive Dyson vacuum cleaner. Along the way I pick up some other very curious Thomas The Tank and model plane treasures. But the most curious item being thrown out was an Aldi vacuum cleaner which was only a year old. So why was this near new vacuum cleaner on the rubbish pile? Has our society become so attached to buying cheap crap that we throw away in no time. Doing this provides no value for money and it's destructive to the environment. Possibly the winner in all this is the Chinese companies pumping out these poorly designed inexpensive products that consumers love to snap up because they are dirt cheap. These days you don't fix things, you just throw them out and buy another to replace it. It was interesting to see the many styles and brands of vacuum cleaners being thrown out, some of them are trying to emulate Dyson designs (clear dust collection area and cyclonic action), but because they don't manage fine dust as Dyson's do, these other cleaners easily loose suction through poor design or the use of vacuum bags or filters which are easily clogged with fine dust. Yet another VERY delayed upload due to the problems I have had on Youtube during 2014. It's a never ending source of informative, educational and interesting content showing tear downs and mods to all sorts of mechanical and electronic items. When I was making this video I kept thinking I was doing it in Aussie50 style, so I better make sure I send as many people to his channel as I can.
