Destroying "History" Just So That I Can Be More Comfortable

Some people restore vintage military Jeeps. I looked at this Willys M-38, realized I'm 6'4", and decided the only logical solution was to start cutting it apart. Before the comments fill up with "You ruined a pristine classic!"... let's all calm down. This thing was about as "pristine" as a shopping cart that's been living behind a gas station for twenty years. It wasn't a museum piece—it was the perfect candidate to become something I could actually fit in without driving with my knees in my ears. In this video we break out the cutoff wheels, do a little measuring (and a little guessing), and start modifying the body to give this old Willys a fighting chance of accommodating someone who apparently wasn't built for 1950s military ergonomics. Will it work? Will the internet forgive me? Probably not. But at least I'll be able to drive it comfortably. Thanks for riding along and supporting the channel.
