Tateyama Station Ashikuraji, Tateyama-cho, Nakaniikawa-gun, Toyama Prefecture 930-1406 It was 6:34 AM, and there was already a line in front of the station. I'd driven here, but I was going to take the cable car and other routes to Omachi, so I used the car forwarding service offered by this establishment. It was a discounted price, as it was a combined fee with the Pension Aikamu where I was staying. I'd purchased a ticket online and exchanged it the day before, so I entered the station building without waiting in line. They had a special cable car service. Ticket gates were opening. The line between Senjugahara and Bijodaira opened in 1954. In 1970, Senjugahara Station was renamed Tateyama Station. The front of the line resembles a freight car. Two cable cars ascend and descend a slope with an average gradient of 24 degrees using a bucket-style system. We got a front-row seat, right next to the driver's seat. The route is 1.3 km long and has an elevation difference of 487 m. The journey takes 7 minutes. We arrived at Bijodaira, which has an elevation of 977 m. Here we changed to the Tateyama Highlands Bus. We were going to Murodo, so we lined up in the right row. There were quite a few buses. Large backpacks could fit in the cargo hold. My grandparents were carrying 30L backpacks, so we decided to bring them under our seats. The temperature inside the bus was 16 degrees. We drove to a spot where we could see Shomyo Falls, which we had seen yesterday. https://niyodogawa.org/blog/news/77788/ All the highlights are on the left side, so I recommend sitting in the left row. You can see a little from the seats on the right. Yesterday, I looked up from below, but from here, I'm looking down. Mount Yakushi is visible up close. It's said to be the most beautiful mountain in the Northern Alps. We passed Mount Kobo. From here, we entered a section known as the Seven Magari, a series of curves. A marshland stretched out before us. We passed the Tenbo Tateyamaso National Guest House. Its stylish exterior makes it hard to believe it's a national guesthouse. Dainichidai is also on the left (sweat;) We arrived at Murodo. This is not only a bus stop, but also a trolley bus stop for the Omachi side. Mount Tateyama is said to have been founded by Saeki Ariyori (Jiko Shonin) in 701. While out hunting with his father's white falcon, Amida Buddha and Acala appeared in a cave, guiding him to found Mount Tateyama. Ariyori, under the name of "Jiko" (Jikou), founded Mt. Tateyama. It is considered one of Japan's three sacred mountains, along with Mt. Fuji and Mt. Hakusan. It has also been selected as one of Japan's 100 most famous mountains. Despite its 3,000m peak, it is popular with climbers due to its easy access to Murodo. Bears are a real nuisance. Many people traverse from here to Mount Tsurugi and other peaks. We've come outside. This is the view from Toyama City toward the Noto Peninsula. Mount Tateyama is visible directly ahead. It has three peaks, the highest of which is Mount Onanji in the center, at 3,015m above sea level. Further to the left, a ridge continues to Mount Betsuyama. Continued in the Mt.
