Noelle Pikus Pace: Where You Look is Where You'll Go

(Highlights from a speech) Olympic Skeleton Racer, Noelle Pikus Pace talks about the importance of daily decisions and setting personal goals. With humor and directness, she shares the importance of making positive choices, finding success every day, and realizing that the little decisions we make daily determine where we go in life. Noelle has been through trials that most of us will never face -- or can even comprehend. Noelle was ranked first in the world when a bobsled came out of the track and hit her. The injury kept her from her Olympic dream. Four years later, Noelle showed resilience and courage when she came back, following the birth of her daughter Lacee, (on a sled that her husband built) ready to fulfill her Olympic dream. Despite her best effort, Noelle faced disappointment once again, finishing 4th, just one-tenth of a second from the medals. Let down with her place, but satisfied with having given her best, she retired from skeleton with her sights set on family. She and her husband had a little boy in 2011. Following a miscarriage in 2012 at 18 weeks pregnant, they re-charted their course. Through heart ache and faith, they felt that she should return to competition one last time - as long as they could travel together as a family. Her positive spirit and determination proved once again when she won the 2013 World Cup Gold medal on the 2014 Olympic track in Russia. As the Gold medal favorite, Noelle's sights are set on the Olympic Podium one last time. Currently, Noelle spends a large amount of time helping others. She loves working with the youth in her community to strengthen their goals and help them "Chart their Course". She is involved with Habitat for Humanity, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and "Now I Can". Noelle Pikus Pace is an amazing motivational speaker, but what really makes her incredible is her willingness to serve, her ability to overcome obstacles and her determination to never give up.
