PLH PREMBUN 2002 - ARGO DWIPANGGA TRAIN DETRAIL This extraordinary event in the Prembun area, Kebumen, Central Java, occurred on December 9, 2002. At that time, the Argo Dwipangga train, KA 9, en route from Solo to Jakarta, derailed and overturned at around 10:50 PM WIB while passing over a road tunnel. The derailment was caused by a box truck passing through the tunnel beneath the train tracks shortly before the Argo Dwipangga passed. As a result, the locomotive and several carriages behind it were thrown, derailed, and overturned, killing seven people, seriously injuring 25 others, and sustaining dozens of minor injuries.
