I've spent months watching him throw people around, destroy everybody in his path, and convince himself that because he's bigger and stronger, he automatically deserves my WWE Championship. But here's what Brock still doesn't understand. This isn't amateur wrestling. This isn't a weight room. This isn't some contest to see who can bench press the most weight. This is about intelligence. And Brock Lesnar isn't the smartest guy in the room. For weeks he jumped me from behind. For weeks he ambushed me. For weeks he tried to play mind games. Every time I turned around there was Brock Lesnar trying to make a statement at my expense. And I'll admit it... For a while, it worked. I was getting angry. I was getting frustrated. Then I realized something. If Brock wants to play games... Nobody said Kurt Angle couldn't play too. So there we were. The non-violence agreement. The contract signing. Everybody expecting me to sit there like a good little champion and promise not to touch Brock Lesnar before Vengeance. And I smiled. I signed my name. I shook his hand. I told him exactly what he wanted to hear. Then the big idiot actually signed the paper. Hook. Line. Sinker. The second that pen hit the paper, I cracked him right across the skull with the briefcase. And the look on Brock's face? Priceless. For once, he wasn't the hunter. He was the victim. For once, Brock Lesnar got blindsided. For once, Brock Lesnar got outsmarted. You see, everybody talks about Brock's power. Everybody talks about Brock's speed. Everybody talks about Brock's freakish athletic ability. Nobody talks about what happens when somebody finally gets inside his head. I just did. Now Brock's angry. Now Brock wants revenge. Now Brock wants to tear me apart at Vengeance. Good. Because angry people make mistakes. And when Brock Lesnar makes a mistake, Kurt Angle capitalizes. At Vengeance, this isn't about proving who's stronger. We already know the answer to that. This is about proving who's the better wrestler. Who's the better competitor. Who's the better champion. And when Brock Lesnar is tapping that mat, begging for mercy while locked in the Ankle Lock, everybody's going to remember exactly why I'm standing here holding the WWE Championship. Because Brock Lesnar may be the Next Big Thing. But I'm an Olympic Gold Medalist. And at Vengeance, the next big thing becomes the next guy I beat. Oh, it's true. It's damn true.
