Winter Solo Wild Camp in Freezing Winds & Snow: Angle Tarn the Lake District
After parking at Hartsop, I ascended Gray Crag and was immediately greeted by high winds and deep snow. Battling through the hostile conditions, I made my way to Thornthwaite Crag and then High Street. On my way to ticking off The Knott, the cloud cleared and I was rewarded with the most dramatic views of blue skies and snow covered mountains. After summating The Knott I ticked off Rest Dodd, Brock Crags, and finally Angletarn Pikes. After a hard days hiking and wainwright bagging, I pitched the MLD Duomid on the shore of Angle Tarn where I endured a very windy night. A fantastic winter adventure. Hope you enjoy watching, cheers.
