Eva Argentina - Adiós mi barrio (Official video) - Abrazo a las culturas

Together with her friends from Mar del Plata, Argentina, the Austrian singer Eva Schilder set up this candombe as a hymn of pasion towards old traditions and values. Part of the cycle "Abrazo a las culturas", set up by Eva Schilder and her friends in Mar del Plata, in 2011, going on in Austria. This Uruguayan candombe was originally a tango composed by Ramón Gollazo in 1930, entitled "Adiós mi barrio". The Olimareños made it poular in this form of a candombe, a African rhythm, typical of Uruguay. It describes how civilzation destroys the old neigbourhood. Eva usually lives in Graz, Austria, but spends every year some time in Argentina, Uruguay and other countries to make concerts with her South American friends.
