Laurent Nkunda: Congo's Dangerous WARLORD

In late 2008, eastern Congo teetered on the edge of war. Laurent Nkunda’s CNDP forces moved steadily toward Goma. The FARDC, poorly equipped and demoralised, broke under pressure. It was more than a military failure. The state itself seemed absent. ********************************************************************* Sources: LAURENT NKUNDA AND THE NATIONAL CONGRESS FOR THE DEFENCE OF THE PEOPLE (CNDP), by Jason K.
