Parallel Versus Series Circuits: An Explanation & On-Car Demonstration • Cars Simplified
Instead of just being a basic video about parallel circuits and series circuits that, at most, shows what happens to things on a demonstration board, this was designed to explain the two circuits and then show what actually happens out in the real world by converting a pair of license plate bulbs from a parallel circuit to a series circuit! Parallel circuits make up a majority of what you find on a vehicle! Well, technically series-parallel, but we will get into that in another video. The point is, most of the exterior lights are going to be supplied with 12 volts, and putting any bulbs in series would force them to share that voltage, and not be as bright.
