Aya Matsuki, who has worked on the series, is the director, and Tsutomu Kuroiwa, who also worked on the series, is in charge of the screenplay. Joining the regular cast, including leading actors Ryohei Suzuki, Kento Kaku, and Yuriko Ishida, will be newcomers Yosuke Eguchi ("The Sky Crawlers"), Mahiro Takasugi ("Oasis"), Meru Ikumi, Emma Miyazawa, and Tetsuji Tamayama. Synopsis Two years have passed since the explosion at a high-rise building in Yokohama. The critical care medical team "TOKYO MER" has been recognized for its efforts, leading to the establishment of new MERs in major cities across Japan. Meanwhile, in response to emergencies on the remote islands of Okinawa and Kagoshima, TOKYO MER Chief Kota Kitami (Ryohei Suzuki) and nurse Natsume Kuramae (Nanao) are dispatched as training staff, and the "Nankai MER" begins trial operation. Meanwhile, a massive volcanic eruption occurs on Suwanosejima Island in Kagoshima, and the Nankai MER is called in to rescue those stranded on the island.
