Goodbye Mexico...

Welcome back to the final episode of Drifting South: Season 2 This video is a special one. It begins with a scenic drive from Loreto to San Lucas Cove, where I had the incredible opportunity to go squid fishing with friends — a magical morning I’ll never forget. We explore the surrounding area by land and sea, visiting the long spit that shapes the cove, where turtle shells, hammerhead heads, and weathered skeletons tell the raw story of life by the sea. It’s heartbreaking, but it’s also part of a deep-rooted tradition, one that reflects the gratitude and survival woven into coastal life here in Baja. As this chapter comes to a close, I open up about the emotions of leaving Mexico after five unforgettable months with Brent and Minnie. Saying goodbye is never easy. I’ll be heading to Alberta to see my family before flying back to work — and the next video will take you straight into Lodge Life: Season Three at Good Hope Cannery in Rivers Inlet, BC. Thank you for drifting south with me this season — your support, kind words, and presence mean the world. Here’s to new beginnings and another summer on the wild coast of Canada.
